The wall behind the front desk
A lobby sign does a quieter job than the sign outside. The visitor has already found you. Now the sign confirms they are in the right suite, sets the tone for the meeting or appointment, and shows up behind every photo taken at the front desk. A well-made one looks like part of the interior rather than something hung up later.
We look at the wall first: its finish, its lighting and what sits in front of it. A logo on a stone accent wall needs a different mount than one on painted drywall or glass. Then we choose the material and mounting style, match your brand colors, and install it level and secure so it looks right from the door.
Lobby signs can be lit, too. A glow behind standoff letters or a halo-lit logo adds depth and makes the wall the focal point of the room, which suits offices, medical practices and salons that want a finished look.
Lobby sign styles

Dimensional letters
Your name and logo cut out and mounted to the wall, so each letter casts a small shadow.

Standoff acrylic panels
A clear or frosted panel held off the wall on metal standoffs, with your logo printed or applied. It seems to float.

Logo feature walls
A large logo as the centerpiece of the reception area, sized to fill the wall behind the desk.

Lit lobby signs
Halo or edge lighting makes a logo glow against the wall. It needs power at the wall, so plan it before the drywall is finished.

Graphic and map walls
Acrylic maps, timelines and graphics that tell visitors who you are while they wait.
Brushed metal
Brushed aluminum letters or panels resist fingerprints and suit law, finance and medical offices.

Lobby sign questions
What makes a good lobby sign?
Good lobby signs are sized for the wall, readable from the door and made of materials that suit the room. A logo that is too small for its wall looks like an afterthought, so we mock it up at true size first.
Acrylic, metal or dimensional letters?
Acrylic gives a clean, polished look in almost any color. Brushed metal feels more formal and hides fingerprints. Dimensional letters add depth and work in either material. Your interior finishes usually point to the right choice.
Can a lobby sign be lit?
Yes. Halo lighting behind letters or LEDs along the edge of an acrylic panel both work well. Lighting needs power at the wall, so it is easiest to plan during a build-out.
Can you mount a sign on stone, tile or glass?
Yes. Stone and tile take masonry anchors or standoffs, and glass takes special hardware or adhesive. We check the wall before choosing the mount.
How long does a lobby sign take?
Most acrylic lobby signs take 1 to 3 weeks from proof approval. We give you a timeline for lit or metal signs when we quote.
