Easy to find at noon and at 6 p.m.
For a good part of the year it's dark by the time people head home from work. A lit sign means your business is just as easy to spot then as it is at lunchtime, from across the parking lot or down the road.
We design each sign around your logo, the wall it goes on, how far away people will read it and whatever your landlord or town allows. Then we pull the permit, build it with LEDs and install it, power connection included.
A lit sign is also a long-term piece of equipment, so the parts inside matter. We build with LEDs instead of fluorescent tubes or neon because they use less power, run cooler and last far longer. When a sign does need service years from now, we can open it up and repair it ourselves.
Kinds of lit signs we build

Channel letters
Individual letters with LEDs inside, mounted to the wall or to a slim raceway painted to match it. The most common lit sign in any shopping center.

Light boxes
An aluminum cabinet with a face that glows evenly. Affordable, easy to update, and it works on a wall, a pole or a monument base.

Lit logos and dimensional letters
Fabricated letters and logos in aluminum, steel or acrylic, lit from inside or behind.

LED message boards
A programmable display you update whenever your message changes. Churches, schools and restaurants use them for events and specials.

Neon and LED neon
The glow of glass neon, now usually made with flexible LED tubing that uses less power and lasts longer.
Halo-lit letters
Letters that stand off the wall with the light shining backward, so each one sits in a soft glow. A quiet, upscale look for offices, salons and medical practices.

Lit sign questions
How much does a lit sign cost?
It depends on the type, size and how much custom work goes into it. A small storefront set of channel letters usually starts at a few thousand dollars, and bigger or more detailed signs cost more. You get a free written quote before any work starts.
Do I need a permit for a lit sign in Raleigh?
Yes. Raleigh and most nearby towns require a sign permit before a lit sign goes up, and many shopping centers have their own sign rules on top of that. We take care of both.
Should I choose LED or neon?
Glass neon has a warm, classic glow but uses more power and needs more care. LED costs less to run, lasts longer and comes in more colors. LED neon tubing gets you the neon look without the upkeep.
How long does it take?
Most lit signs take 4 to 8 weeks from design approval to installation. Permit review is usually the biggest variable.
How long do LED signs last?
The LEDs are rated for 50,000 to 100,000 hours, roughly 10 to 15 years of normal use.
Can you fix or upgrade the sign I already have?
Yes. We replace dead LEDs, convert old fluorescent and neon signs to LED, repaint faded cabinets and replace broken faces and letters.
